2. Request the QR code in order to install Drum Bun inside AppSheet.

3. Create your shortcut on your smartphone’s home screen.

4. Make a donation so we can continue improving the app.
   
   

Oh! Besides the mobile version, you’ll also have the desktop version for your computer. This way you can organize your stages more comfortably or simply view all our content in full screen.

With the Drum Bun app you can view the full route and all its extensions, as well as geolocate yourself in real time to ensure at all times that you are following the correct path.

Inside the app you have two geolocation options —Mapbox or Google Maps— so that, besides knowing your exact position, you can search for accommodations, restaurants, cafés, and any service you may need along the way.

We are Ioana and Juan, two lovers of the mountains, of movement, and of that feeling of freedom you only find when the path opens in front of you. Nature brings us together, as do sports and that mix of curiosity and calm that appears when you discover a new trail. We are the kind of people who enjoy a sunrise on a summit just as much as a quiet conversation by a river. And we’re also the kind of people who need everything clear: maps, stages, gear… because preparing an adventure is part of the adventure itself.

We travel because it makes us feel alive, because every route changes us a little, and because walking together is a way of understanding each other better. Drum Bun was born precisely from that: from our desire to create something useful and beautiful, handmade and heartfelt, with no team behind us and no big budgets. Just us, our experiences, our travel notebooks, and the wish to help others enjoy the journey as much as we do. Here we share what we know, what we live, and what we feel when the mountains call us again.

At first it was just another piece of our adventure, but little by little we realized it was much more than that.

Do I need an internet connection to use the app?

Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions section, where our goal is to answer the most common questions about our apps or their privacy policy. Enjoy your adventure!

You need an internet connection to load or modify the app’s content (such as stages or backpack gear), but once everything is loaded you can view it all offline.

Can I create a shortcut to the Drum Bun app on my phone?

Yes, you just need to tap Add Shortcut and follow the steps. You’ll find it in the hidden menu at the top left of the app.

GENERAL USE

If I change the language, do I need to recreate my budget, stages, or backpack?

No, not at all. When you change the language, all your settings are preserved — just translated into the language you choose.

What should I do if the app freezes because I configured too many items at the same time?

Yes, but it’s recommended to wait for each process to finish before starting another. You’ll see an orange counter at the top left indicating that the app is working. The heaviest processes run before starting the Via Transilvanica, so you’ll have plenty of time to configure everything calmly.

DONATION

Can I use the app without making a donation?

Yes, you can, but keep in mind that the app has fixed monthly costs and requires a lot of work. If we can’t cover them together, we will have no choice but to discontinue it.

Will I need to make another donation to keep the app updated?

No, each contribution is completely voluntary and not linked to the app updates. You will be able to enjoy all the new features instantly, without having to do anything.

If I don’t make a donation, will I be able to keep using the app indefinitely?

Yes, but only if the donations we receive allow us to cover the monthly costs required to keep the app available for everyone.

PRIVACY POLICY

Is any personal data stored when I download or use the app?

No, never. The Drum Bun app does not store or share any personal data. Even geolocation is processed only on your device and remains completely private.

Does Drum Bun use any kind of data from my device or computer?

Not at all. Drum Bun does not collect or use any data from your device. It is a completely safe and transparent tool.

What information stays exclusively on my device?

Your location, GPS tracking, and any data related to your route are processed only on your device. We do not store or send your position to any external server. You remain in full control of that information at all times.

Can I make several configurations at the same time, for example edit the budget and adjust my backpack?

It shouldn’t freeze. If it happens, it likely closed before finishing loading the configuration. When you reopen it, just wait a few seconds for the app to complete the pending processes.
